Open the hood and pick up your jaw as you gaze in wonder at the highly detailed engine compartment. The rebuilt Ford 302 has gorgeous Ford Racing valve covers in blue. A serpentine belt system keeps all the accessories running with chrome pullies including power steering, chrome A/C compressor, and a chrome alternator. An Edelbrock intake is topped off with a Holley Sniper fuel injection system for sure starts, better fuel economy, and more power. Ceramic coated full-length headers running to dual exhaust that exits in front of the rear tires through custom rectangle exhaust tips not only looks great but sounds phenomenal! This truck will turn heads with the exhaust note and keep their gaze with its jaw-dropping good looks. An MSD coil, and MSD ignition system sends the spark through Ford Performance plug wires. An aluminum radiator has dual electric fans to keep it cool even in the Florida summers with the A/C running. The A/C is a new complete system using the modern R-134A and it works great. The fuel tank has been relocated to under the bed of the truck, and the original fuel filler hole has been filled for a smooth look.
Open the door and you will be equally impressed with the interior. The bench seat is covered in black vinyl and cloth and puts you in great position to look out over the open road as you cruise. New gauges sit in a smoothed and custom painted dash. The interior also features a new AM/FM/CD player, new billet tilt steering column with custom steering wheel, and a nice little center console with storage and cupholders. Ford F100 embroidered floormats are a nice touch along with custom zippered pockets on the door panels for storage. The floor shifter has a custom knob with push button to engage into gear and a nice shifter boot and bezel to continue the show quality theme throughout.
The 302 CID V8 engine is paired to a C4 automatic transmission with a B&M pan and runs out back to a Ford 9” rear end. With power steering and power disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors, this truck handles way better than it did in 1966! The bed is covered with a tonneau cover and once you lift that you will see a custom wood bed with polished stainless strips and a custom storage trunk. There are several cool things about this bed. Number one: the storage trunk is on drawer slides so you can bring it to the rear of the bed to load and unload it. Then it pushes back in the bed to reveal the custom fuel filler location for that new tank under the bed. If you don’t like it, 4 screws and it can be removed. Number two: The wood and stainless bed is also removable and is laid over the original metal bed, which has been covered with bedliner! So, if you don’t want wood and stainless and prefer a more usable bed, just take this out by removing a few more screws! Number three: The sides of the bed and the inside of the tailgate are done in the same bedliner so they can handle some bumps and rubs from anything sliding around the in bed.
The underside of the truck is clean and solid and shows very well! With just over 9,000 miles since restored, this truck needs nothing but a proud new owner. It has been stored in a climate-controlled garage since the restoration was completed and comes with a binder full (a couple inches thick) of receipts of the build! If this truck doesn’t do it for you, you’re simply not into classics! This is one of the cleanest trucks we’ve seen, and it is loaded with options including: A/C, power steering, power disc brakes, radial white wall tires, chrome wheels, vinyl and cloth interior, AM/FM/CD player, fuel injection, tilt steering, and a tonneau cover! This Ford will make the C10 owners consider switching sides when it rolls by.
